Welcome to the glory days of 2 wheelers!!!

This was a nice looking, great sounding, smooth "dog". It would get you where you were going, as long as you were not in a big rush.

This was what might be called a love affair. It was not the fastest thing on 2 wheels but it would leave my Beemer in the dust.

This was 3 cylinder, 3 carb's, 3 into 1 headers  and 3 mechanical points to tune. It kept me busy, because it had vibration problem that got worse as it got out of tune.

It would also stop on a dime due to the triple disk brakes, not found on most motorcycles in those days.

This was love at first sight. It was a "pocket rocket", 853 cc and would run the 1/4 mile under 13 sec at about 115 mph. After I stiffened the suspension, re-jetted the carb's, tweaked the ignition, and installed Supertrap 4 into 1 headers it was awesome. 0 to 60 in 4 sec. Top end was about 168 mph under the right conditions.

This baby was built to lay down on and put your helmet in the windscreen and feet on the rear pegs and rocket down the highway with the 150 mph speedo off scale. What a rush. These pictures were taken shortly after buying the bike. I was coming back from Mt. Palomar Observatory, CA. on Interstate 8, headed for San Diego. It was still new enough that I hadn't gotten the license plate yet. You can't read it here, but the license plate holder says "Catch Me If You Can". No one ever did.

Now days Linda and I no longer ride motorcycles.
